Sri Somesh Kumar, IAS., Chief Secretary, Government of Telangana informed that the MEIL (Megha Engineering Infrastructure Company Ltd) has given assurance to donate (11) cryogenic tankers to the State Government as part of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), today received 3 Cryogenic tankers at Begumpet Air force Station.
MEIL Donates Cryogenic Tankers to CSR Telangana State
Chief Secretary flagged off the tankers which will go by train to Odisha to fill with oxygen. The Cryogenic Oxygen tankers were airlifted by IL.76 Indian Airforce Aircraft from Bangkok and reached Begumpet Airport in the afternoon.
Chief Secretary said that 3 tankers has arrived in Hyderabad as first batch and the remaining are scheduled to reach by tomorrow, but due to disturbance in Bay of Bengal, remaining tankers will be arriving in 3 to 4 days.
Chief Secretary informed that As per the instructions of the Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri K. Chandrashekar Rao, to ensure proper Oxygen supply to the Covid patients in the State without any shortage, all the officers working relentlessly to contain the spread of Covid and also initiated steps to construct Oxygen plants, storage units and procuring tankers to supply Oxygen to the Covid patients in the State.

Lockdown Extension Telangana Govt.
Chief Minister Sri K Chandrasekhar Rao has decided to extend the lockdown in the State up to May 30. The CM spoke with the Ministers over the phone and elicited their opinion. After receiving the opinion of the Cabinet Ministers, the CM has decided to extend the lockdown till 30th May.
The CM instructed Chief Secretary Sri Somesh Kumar to issue GO on the extension of the lockdown. As the Ministers are busy monitoring the Corona curtailment measures and medical services at the field level. The CM has canceled the State Cabinet meeting, which is scheduled on May 20th.
Chief Secretary Sri Somesh Kumar, IAS held a meeting at BRKR Bhavan with AYUSH Doctors on providing supplementary medication to treat Black Fungus disease.
Chief Secretary said that the Government is taking all the necessary steps to tackle black fungus disease in the state. Presently, The treatment for the disease is being taken up at Gandhi Hospital and Govt. ENT King Koti.
Ayush doctors briefed Chief Secretary on the treatment protocols available in the Ayurvedic, Homeopathy and Unani System of medicine. They informed Chief Secretary that Prophylactic Treatment for the black fungus will be given at Ayurvedic Hospital at Erragadda, Homeopathy Hospital at Ramanthapur, and Unani Hospitals at Charminar and Erragadda.
Chief Secretary advised Ayush doctors to create awareness through leaflets and press briefings regularly on treatment available in the Ayush hospitals where patients can approach.
